Do I need to connect a bank account to accept payments?
Yes. Payments on Firstplace are processed by Stripe, and the safest way to ensure your team's funds arrive safely is to connect directly to your personal or team bank account. This also helps prevent fraud.

What are Firstplace's transaction fees?
Our transaction fees are 2.9% + $0.30. This is the same rate we are charged, with no additional fees.

How long does Firstplace hold our funds?
By default, we do not hold your funds. They are automatically deposited as soon as possible; next day by default. You can change your deposit settings to weekly or monthly if you wish. Deposits may take 2-3 business days to finalize.

Can I have players cover transaction fees?
Yes. You have the option of baking transaction fees into the total price or adding the fees on top.
For a $45 transaction, baking the fees in (2.9% + $0.30) means the player pays $45 and you receive $43.39. If members cover the fee, they pay $46.66 and you receive $45.

Can I track who has and hasn't paid?
Yes. Each payment request shows every team member's payment status as well as total completion. You can manually send reminders to any unpaid players or remove any player from the request.

Can I use Payments if my team is outside the U.S.?
Firstplace currently supports payments in the United States and Canada only through Stripe Connect. We are working to include additional countries soon.
