Switching team apps only works if the old channel actually goes quiet. Announce the move with a clear reason and a one-tap join link, then freeze the old chat. These two messages do both, for any rec or youth team making the jump.

📣 Heads up — we're moving to [New App].

Starting [date], our schedule, RSVPs, [payments], and announcements all live in [New App]. Why the switch: [no ads / flat pricing / built-in RSVPs].

What you need to do: tap here to join: [link]. Takes about a minute, and [you can RSVP by email without installing anything / the app is free for players].

Any trouble getting in, message me and I'll sort it out. Thanks for making the jump! 🙌

🔒 This chat is now retired.

Everything team-related has moved to [New App] as of [date]. I won't be posting schedules, changes, or reminders here anymore, so please make sure you've joined: [link].

Feel free to keep this thread for banter if you like, but for anything that actually matters, check [New App]. See you there. 👋

Weighing where to move? Our comparison of adult rec team apps lays out the trade-offs, and Firstplace lets players RSVP without installing anything, which makes a switch stick.
